Dear Investment Professor:

STOCK-TRAK continues to be the #1 portfolio simulation available to your students, with over 800 professors and nearly 45,000 students using our service each year. STOCK-TRAK is, in fact, more than an investment simulation. It is a valuable supplement to any finance class that will provide practical experience to the topics discussed in your lectures and textbooks. If you have any doubt as to the value of STOCK-TRAK, please read some of the professor comments and student comments that we have received recently.

As you start to plan for the this coming Semester, I want to let you know of the exciting new changes that have occurred at STOCK-TRAK recently:

  • STOCK-TRAK and the Wall Street Journal for only $33.90 (U.S. only) -- The Wall Street Journal is offering STOCK-TRAK students the lowest rate available -- a 10 week subscription for only $13.95. Now when you pre-register your students for the STOCK-TRAK / WSJ bundle offer, they receive both the standard STOCK-TRAK account and a 10 week subscription to the WSJ for a total cost of only $33.90.
If you select this offer, when you direct your students to register for their STOCK-TRAK account, they will be automatically co-registering with the WSJ. They will pay one fee of $33.90 and their STOCK-TRAK account will begin on the date you select and their WSJ subscription will begin within 5 business days. Also, with the STOCK-TRAK / WSJ bundle offer, professors will continue to receive credit towards their complimentary desk copy when 10 students in a semester register.

  • STOCK-TRAK and Barron's for only $31.95 (U.S. only) -- Barron's is offering STOCK-TRAK students another great rate-- a 10 week subscription for only $12. Now when you pre-register your students for the STOCK-TRAK / Barron's bundle offer, they receive both the standard STOCK-TRAK account and a 10 week subscription to Barron's for a total cost of only $30.95.

  • STOCK-TRAK and Financial Times Partnership (U.S. and Canada only) -- Students registering for STOCK-TRAK can now get a 12 week Electronic Edition subscription to the Financial Times with their STOCK-TRAK account for just $10.00. We have partnered to bring your students the best in portfolio simulation and global news coverage for a special price of $31.95. Students will now be able to register for STOCK-TRAK and Financial Times at the same time. When you as a professor choose a Stock-Trak/Financial Times value pack you will receive a complimentary one year personal subscription to the Financial Times, when seven or more of your students are subscribed.

  • Now Accepting Limit Orders!!! -- Students will now be able to place limit and stop orders on stocks, options and futures traded on Stock-Trak. To discourage day trading, limit orders go into affect 30 minutes after they are placed.
  • STOCK-TRAK is now used in over 25 countries around the world thanks to expanded International Stock Trading Pit -- Talk about international diversification! Our International Stock Trading Pit has been expanded to include the entire Canadian exchanges, Euronext (Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris), London, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and the most active issues from the major Asian markets as well. Trades are made at the recent currency spot rate and converted back into U.S. dollars. Now you students can experience currency risk too.

  • Customizable Tools on Home Page-We now have a watch list on our home page, which can be customized to match your student's portfolios. So now when your students visit our page, they will be able to see how their stocks are performing immediately.

  • Students can now have a 2nd account for only $5.00. Many professors have requested that students be given a second account for a nominal fee so that students could have one buy and hold account, and another actively managed account. You, the professor, must request this account when you fill out the Sign-Up Sheet. This Buy & Hold account will be limited to 20 trades, Professor Summaries will be sent, but students will have to get their own statements from the web.

  • Realistic position limits will be enforced. To force students to diversify their portfolios, and to make the students trade as if it was real money, students trades will not be able to put all their eggs in one basket. Stock, option, and future positions will be limited to 50% of their initial cash balance. Accounts that begin with $100,000 will only be allowed to invest a maxmum of $50,000 on any single stock (Without this position limit, we have seen some students buying on margin and spending $200,000 on one stock; now they can only spend a fraction of that buying power on any stock, option, or future.)
To order registration forms for you next investment or finance class, please complete the sign up sheet below. If you are not teaching investments this semester but know someone that might be interested in STOCK-TRAK, please call me with their name and phone number. When that new professor signs up, I will be glad to send you a referral bonus of $50 if that new professor gives us 15 paid accounts.

As always, I would like to hear any comments you may have, and thanks for your support. If you ever have any questions about STOCK-TRAK, please call me at my direct number 678-475-0766.
